About the role
This role involves the development and validation of discrete components and integrated optics within the Data Center Engineering team. This position focuses on the validation of Analog front end design, Photonics Integrated circuits, and board-level hardware for high speed optical communication systems.
What you'll do
- Develop hardware for chip-level and/or sub-system level performance evaluation/validation.
- Execute engineering validation plans for Optoelectronic components.
- Design hardware platforms for validating chips and systems.
- Code/script to automate measurements in Python.
- Verify and troubleshoot board-level or chip-level designs.
- Document design/validation results and generate reports.
What you'll need
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s Degree in CE, EE, or a related field with an expected graduation date of Fall 2027 – Summer 2028.
Nice to have
- Strong fundamentals in RF and Microwave Engineering.
- Strong fundamentals in Transistor-level Analog design.
- Strong fundamentals in Communication Theories (modulations, noise, SNR, digital signal processing, equalization techniques, Q-factor, BER).
- Strong fundamentals in Digital System engineering (signaling and synchronization).
- Programming experience with Python or C.
- Knowledge of Silicon Photonics.
- Hands-on lab work experience using VNA, Oscilloscope, Spectrum analyzer, and in circuit emulator.
