About the role
This role involves maintaining, controlling, and continuously improving manufacturing processes for optical and photonic products. The position focuses on ensuring process stability, resolving production issues, improving product quality and yield, and optimizing existing processes to achieve production, delivery, and cost objectives.
What you'll do
- Monitor manufacturing-process performance using SPC and other analytical tools.
- Troubleshoot process, yield, quality, material, and equipment-related issues.
- Develop, validate, and implement process improvements to reduce defects, cycle time, and manufacturing costs.
- Support new product introduction and transfer processes from development to mass production.
- Develop and maintain process specifications, work instructions, control plans, and Engineering Change Orders.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, process, or sustaining engineering.
- Knowledge of SPC, RCA, CAPA, FMEA, DOE, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.
- Strong troubleshooting, data-analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prepare and maintain technical and manufacturing documentation.
Nice to have
- Experience in optical, photonic, electronics, semiconductor, or high-technology manufacturing.
