About the role
This role involves providing hands-on support and implementing continuous improvement projects for semiconductor manufacturing equipment. The focus is on High Density Plasma Etch equipment.
What you'll do
- Own High Density Plasma Etch Equipment for daily operations and continuous improvements.
- Drive improvement activities on hardware, maintenance, and overall operation using metrics (Availability, MTBF, Variability).
- Train and support maintenance technicians.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of process engineering, maintenance, and production.
- Interface with vendors and contractors for new tool installation, upgrades, and qualification.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years technical experience working as an engineer in the industry specializing in plasma etching tools.
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing principles, practices, and techniques as they relate to equipment engineering and maintenance.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint proficiency.
- Strong technical capability, including knowledge of pneumatics, robotics, electronics, and semiconductor processes.
Nice to have
- Experience with CAD software package comparable to Solidworks.
- MS Project or comparable, proficiency.
