About the role
This role involves defining architecture and microarchitecture features, logic design, and RTL coding for graphics processing unit (GPU) IP blocks. Scope spans graphics, compute, display, and media IPs with integration support for system-on-chip (SoC) customers.
What you'll do
- Drive the development of logic design, register transfer level (RTL) coding, and simulation for graphics, compute, display, and media IPs. - Collaborate on defining architecture and microarchitecture features for GPU IP blocks. - Optimize logic to meet power, performance, area, and timing goals, ensuring design integrity for physical implementation. - Review and contribute to verification plans and unit-level verification across verification hierarchies. - Debug and resolve microarchitecture, RTL, and simulation issues to ensure functionality and correctness. - Provide integration support to SoC customers to ensure GPU block delivery.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 12+ years (BS), 8+ years (MS), or 6+ years (PhD) of relevant experience. - Proficiency in logic design, RTL development, and hardware simulation techniques. - Expertise in System Verilog and microarchitecture fundamentals. - Experience with power and performance analysis, validation, and optimization. - Demonstrated ability to debug microarchitecture, RTL, and simulation issues.

How we counted: 1036 open Digital/RTL Design (RTL Design) roles from 103 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 19 Oct 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Digital Design & Verification family row.
