About the role
Apple is seeking a GPU Formal Verification Engineer within the Silicon Technologies group to perform formal verification across design blocks and IPs, including GPU, CPU, security, and power management subsystems.
What you'll do
- Work with design engineers to develop a formal micro-architecture specification. - Develop a comprehensive formal verification test plan that includes unique security requirement verification. - Prove properties of the design, find design bugs, and collaborate with design teams to help improve the micro-architecture. - Craft solutions for modeling security attacks and proving the robustness of complex design micro-architectures. - Develop and implement re-usable, optimized formal models and verification code bases. - Architect correct-by-construction design methodologies to improve formal verification efficiency and productivity.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. - Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience in silicon validation software engineering or a related field.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Formal Method or Formal Verification technologies. - Knowledge and experience in interpreting hardware specifications. - Proficiency in any scripting language with debugging skills. - Interest in SoC, CPU, GPU, or Cellular design.
