About the role
As a Silicon Architecture Graduate Intern, you will contribute to the definition and architecture of silicon solutions, including hardware, firmware, and platform specifications within the Data Center Group. You will assist in modeling and simulation to analyze performance, power, and feature trade-offs across interconnected subsystems.
What you'll do
- Assist in defining silicon architecture specifications based on product requirements and feature integration.
- Support modeling and simulation tasks to evaluate performance, power, and trade-offs for architectural decisions.
- Collaborate with architects, design engineers, and validation teams to ensure feasibility and alignment with product goals.
- Contribute to the development of high-level models and tools for architectural analysis.
- Explore GPU concepts such as SIMT, parallelism, and cache hierarchies to guide architectural improvements.
- Apply programming skills in C, C++, and Python for prototyping and analysis tasks.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing a master's degree in GPU architecture, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a tightly related field with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

How we counted: 490 open SoC/Chip Architecture (SOC Architecture) roles from 67 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 6 Nov 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Digital Design & Verification family row.
