About the role
This Technical Facilities Engineer position provides technical leadership in the planning, design, configuration, construction, commissioning, operations, and maintenance of Gas & Chemical distribution systems. This involves ensuring maximum uptime and adherence to design specifications for these systems.
What you'll do
- Oversee operations, maintenance, and safety of Gas & Chemical distribution systems.
- Coordinate with multiple groups to meet project requirements and minimize system downtime.
- Perform problem solving, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis using 8D methodology.
- Evaluate system capacities and capabilities, and recommend improvements.
- Obtain funding and manage projects according to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Review and approve building construction, fit-up, and tool hook-up designs.
What you'll need
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering.
- 2-5 years of semiconductor or high purity hazardous gas facilities management experience, or over 7 years of facilities management experience.
- Working experience as a facilities engineer in the semiconductor industry.
- Industrial gas and chemical delivery experience.
- Working knowledge of gas distribution systems and PLC based controls systems.
- Knowledge of local Fire, Building, and Environmental codes.
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of SPC, 8D, DMAIC, FMEA.
- Experience with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, AutoCAD, and CMMS (e.g. IBM Maximo).
