About the role
As a Focused Ion Beam (FIB) Technician IV, you will be responsible for preparing wafers for experimentation, operating reactors for thin film processes, and utilizing scanning electron microscopes for analyses and imaging. You will specialize in operating Focused Ion Beam (FIB) equipment for making TEM lamella and optimizing sample preparation procedures.
What you'll do
- Prepare samples for Focused Ion Beam (FIB) lamella making and optimize sample preparation procedures.
- Operate and check performance of equipment for sample preparation processes.
- Perform Focused Ion Beam (FIB) system software alignment functions.
- Conduct routine maintenance procedures, including flash and plasma cleaning.
- Coordinate instrument repair and maintenance with engineering on wafer evaluations.
- Perform sample preparation on 3D-NAND, planar view, and gate-fin structures.
What you'll need
- Experience operating Focused Ion Beam (FIB) equipment.
- Ability to identify cutting locations based on pattern instructions.
- Knowledge of Focused Ion Beam (FIB) principles.
- Understanding of lamella quality requirements and sample/beam interaction.
- Proficiency in performing routine maintenance procedures.
- Capability to perform routine shut down procedures and identify tool problems.
