Support ASML YieldStar metrology systems through install, qualification, and HVM sustaining at a customer site in Austin, Texas.

About the role

In this role, you will install, qualify, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair ASML YieldStar metrology equipment at the customer site from initial install through high-volume manufacturing sustaining. You will serve as one of two technical lead equipment engineers responsible for YieldStar tool performance on-site.

What you'll do

- Diagnose electromechanical failures, determine root cause, and execute action plans independently to maintain tool availability and performance specifications. - Drive YieldStar equipment engineering support from install and tool qualification to wafer introduction, pilot-line performance, and sustaining. - Escalate complex technical issues with clear problem statements and interface regularly with internal and customer engineering teams on status and planning. - Adhere to cleanroom safety standards, perform pre-work safety assessments, and wear required PPE such as respirators, harnesses, and cleanroom Gore-Tex suits. - Deliver continuous improvement initiatives, including failure analysis reports, post-mortems, procedure updates, and cycle time reductions. - Handle, administer, and return service parts and tooling while closing fab action paperwork and tracking items.

What you'll need

- Bachelor's degree in engineering or an equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience. - Minimum 5 years of experience in a customer support department for high-tech products. - Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with ASML lithography/metrology systems or similar semiconductor technology. - Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, semiconductor processes, and associated software. - Ability to work a compressed work week (12-hour shifts, rotating day/night schedules) and spend more than 50% of working time inside the cleanroom. - Availability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 25% in the first year for training, ~10% thereafter), including destinations such as Taiwan and the Netherlands.
