About the role
This senior Field Applications Engineer role involves supporting customers with embedded networking software for the XGS-Tomahawk series of products in AI clusters.
What you'll do
- Assist customers in running switch development kit in their OS/platform environment.
- Identify software bugs and write/suggest software fixes.
- Suggest appropriate use of APIs to implement features like traffic management, congestion control, and scheduling.
- Provide SDK overview presentations.
- Answer customer questions regarding Ethernet protocol, switching, and packet processing architecture.
- Act as technical liaison between software development, factory applications, and customers.
What you'll need
- 8 years experience in embedded networking software design and development.
- Expertise in Ethernet L2/L3 switching protocols.
- Ability to understand millions of lines of code and write patches.
- BSEE/BSCS required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to have
- 2 years experience as a field applications engineer.
