About the role
As an Intern, you will be assigned meaningful projects related to your educational background that are challenging, rewarding, and beneficial to the Facilities organization, focusing on the critical infrastructure and mechanical systems supporting semiconductor manufacturing operations.
What you'll do
- Gain hands-on experience with large-scale mechanical systems, including HVAC, chilled and condenser water systems, cooling towers, and fire protection systems.
- Support the team in maximizing operational and maintenance efficiency for mechanical systems.
- Apply reliability-focused methodologies, including FMEA and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Participate in the engineering analysis, design, and installation oversight for mechanical distribution systems.
- Assist in the execution of project commissioning to ensure mechanical equipment and infrastructure perform as designed.
- Assist in creating and managing project documentation, including construction drawings, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), and Process Flow Diagrams (PFD).
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
- Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher.
- Strong interest in industrial facilities, HVAC, or large-scale mechanical systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
