About the role
This Facilities Mechanical Engineering Intern will contribute to the Global Operations business group, focusing on enhancing facilities system safety, reliability, and energy efficiency. The role involves deep dives into critical facilities systems and supporting process equipment installation.
What you'll do
- Identify and execute projects to enhance facilities system safety, reliability, and energy efficiency.
- Perform deep dives of critical facilities systems to identify system optimization.
- Troubleshoot system faults and resolve interruptions.
- Update and optimize the Facilities Tool Utility Matrix.
- Update Building and Facilities Equipment documentation, including As-built drawings, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Sequence of Operations (SOOs), System Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and Preventative Maintenance plans (PMs).
- Support process equipment installation.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Completed at least one course in thermodynamics or fluid dynamics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Nice to have
- Experience with SolidWorks.
- Experience with AutoCad.
