About the role
The Facilities HVAC/Mechanical O&M Technician operates, maintains, installs, repairs, and troubleshoots site facilities equipment and factory support infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Perform repairs, installation, and troubleshooting of site HVAC&R equipment, factory support infrastructure, chillers, boilers, air compressors, vacuum pumps, scrubbers, and incinerators. - Rebuild pumps and motors, perform air-balancing, and conduct minor pipefitting maintenance and repairs. - Carry out preventive maintenance on toxic gas monitoring controllers, UPW systems, and industrial waste treatment equipment. - Apply predictive maintenance techniques including thermographic inspection, vibration analysis, and eddy current testing. - Perform low- and medium-voltage electrical maintenance across facility systems. - Execute rounds, readings, and preventive/corrective maintenance while maintaining Standard Work Elements and Maintenance Standard Works using Lean and 5S concepts.
What you'll need
- AAS degree, completion of a certified apprenticeship/trade school in HVAC&R, or equivalent experience. - Minimum of 3 years of semiconductor trades or industrial maintenance/construction experience. - Demonstrated technical skills in two or more areas: HVAC, electrical, process piping, mechanical, instrumentation, wastewater treatment, or UPW. - EPA Type Universal certification. - Ability to interpret complex multi-disciplined schematics, drawings, and O&M manuals. - Working knowledge of CMMS systems, Word, Excel, and local, state, and national building and environmental codes. - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work non-standard shifts, nights, weekends, or holidays as required.
