About the role
This role is a facilities mechanical engineering internship within the Technology & Manufacturing (TMG) business group at Skyworks.
What you'll do
- Identify and execute projects to enhance facilities system safety, reliability, and energy efficiency.
- Perform deep dives of critical facilities systems to identify system optimization opportunities.
- Troubleshoot system faults and resolve operational interruptions.
- Update and optimize the Facilities Tool Utility Matrix and conduct capacity vs demand analysis.
- Update building and facilities equipment documentation, including as-built drawings, SOPs, SOOs, P&IDs, and preventative maintenance (PM) plans.
- Support process equipment installation and collaborate with cross-functional teams including fab engineering, EHS, and energy.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Completed at least one course in thermodynamics or fluid dynamics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
Nice to have
- Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
