About the role
This role provides full failure analysis support to Engineering, R&D, and NPI reliability qualifications and evaluations failures to identify product/package non-conformance.
What you'll do
- Perform failure analysis on products to understand the cause of deviation from intended performance.
- Support material analysis/data collection during qualifications, evaluations, and line rejects.
- Manage overall laboratory resources for assigned tasks.
- Develop and/or improve FA technique for new product and new package qualification.
- Coach and assist FA operators and technicians on analysis steps and report completion.
- Work with cross-functional teams to find solutions and mechanisms for failure defects.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Metallurgy, Chemistry, Physics, ECE, or EE).
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in the semiconductor industry, with exposure to failure analysis, test, quality, reliability, process engineering, and package R&D.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in failure analysis tools and techniques.
- Knowledge in electronic circuit analysis.
- Proficiency in basic statistics and quality tools: MSA, 8D, FMEA, SPC, DOE, QC tools.
