About the role
This role involves supporting the development, integration, testing, and validation of semiconductor manufacturing platforms. You will work on building, integrating, troubleshooting, testing, and qualifying complex vacuum processing systems throughout the product development lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Assemble, install, configure, and integrate advanced semiconductor equipment, including vacuum systems, motion-control systems, robotics, RF subsystems, gas delivery systems, and electromechanical assemblies.
- Support prototype, alpha, beta, and NPI builds through system integration, engineering validation, and product release activities.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic, thermal, automation, and process-related issues using structured troubleshooting and root cause analysis techniques.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment, including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, vacuum instrumentation, helium leak detectors, and other engineering test tools to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Execute engineering test plans, design verification activities, subsystem qualification testing, and data collection efforts to support engineering evaluations and product development activities.
- Document test results, technical observations, and findings that support engineering decisions, design reviews, and product release readiness.
What you'll need
- Experience as an Engineering Technician, Equipment Technician, or a similar role supporting complex equipment development or manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with the integration, test, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.
- Experience with vacuum systems, gas delivery systems, electrical systems, mechanical systems, motion control, robotics, RF, or automation.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, vacuum instrumentation, and helium leak detectors.
- Knowledge of structured troubleshooting and root cause analysis techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&IDs.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting the product development lifecycle of advanced capital equipment.
- Experience working in a cleanroom environment or with cleanroom protocols and procedures.
- Associate's degree in a technical discipline such as Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Electronics Technology, or Mechatronics.
