About the role
This role supports the Thin Film department as a maintenance equipment technician in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. You will maintain and repair electro-mechanical R&D equipment in Keysight’s Thin Film Fab.
What you'll do
- Maintain and repair electro-mechanical equipment utilizing high vacuum, sub-micron precision, and chemistry. - Work closely with process engineers and operators to support volume production and R&D process development. - Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on manufacturing equipment. - Collaborate with suppliers to select and purchase spare parts and coordinate service visits. - Assist the Equipment Engineering team with installing new process tools, retiring legacy tools, and developing written maintenance and repair procedures. - Support hardware improvements and automation projects.
What you'll need
- Maintenance experience with manufacturing equipment or other complex systems. - Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of tools and standard engineering practices. - Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously and solve complex problems independently. - Ability to learn on the job and work with complex technologies and processes.
Nice to have
- Previous experience maintaining semiconductor equipment or complex manufacturing hardware. - AS/BA/BS degree in Electronics, military electronics training, or strong electro-mechanical technical capability. - Previous experience working across mechanics, electronics, materials science, and software engineering. - Experience with semiconductor manufacturing techniques. - Experience with high vacuum technology, deposition methods, different etching technologies, and RF sources.
