Equipment Maintenance Technician

Partner with Thin Film Engineering to maintain, repair, and update coating deposition hardware.
About the role
As an Equipment Maintenance Technician at MKS Newport, you will partner with Thin Film Engineering to maintain, update, repair, and troubleshoot coating deposition hardware.
What you'll do
- Perform regular preventive maintenance (PMs), pump changes, and component rebuilds.
- Assist Thin Film Engineering with coating chamber modifications and upgrades.
- Maintain inventory for all items related to coating machines.
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble deposition sources, feedthroughs, rotational drives, and other hardware components.
- Maintain and support sensors and monitoring equipment, operating Thin Film Equipment to troubleshoot electronics to the component level.
- Organize, write, and revise preventive maintenance programs and technical procedures using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
What you'll need
- Associate degree, military technical training, or equivalent vocational training.
- 6+ years of related equipment maintenance experience.
- Experience testing digital and/or analog systems.
Nice to have
- Experience in troubleshooting & repair of technical components.
- Hands-on experience with vacuum and/or coating hardware.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
