About the role
Equipment Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. The role supports ion mill, ion implant, and metal evaporation equipment.
What you'll do
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fab equipment.
- Improve system performance to achieve process requirements and eliminate repetitive tool breakdowns.
- Monitor and analyze all related tool data, making recommendations and improvements to maintenance procedures.
- Work with engineers to design and execute equipment improvement projects.
- Clearly communicate machine status verbally in daily pass-down meetings and provide written communication to engineers and technicians on other shifts.
What you'll need
- Two years associate technical degree in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering, or military electronics training equivalent.
- Strong mechanical and electronic skills.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Demonstrated knowledge of SPC in a manufacturing environment and project management skills.
- Ability to stand and walk up to 12 hours per shift, lift up to 50 lbs, and wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment (PPE) for handling hazardous materials.
- Willingness to work nights or days on a compressed workweek schedule.
Nice to have
- 5+ years of experience.
- Prior experience on Veeco Ion Mill, Axcelis 8250 Implant, Heatpulse 8800, Temescal Evaporators, Evatec Evaporators, or Scia Ion Trim and Mill equipment.
