About the role
This role is responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, supporting ion mill, ion implant, and metal evaporation equipment.
What you'll do
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fab equipment.
- Improve system performance to achieve process requirements and eliminate repetitive tool breakdowns.
- Monitor and analyze tool data, making recommendations and improvements to maintenance procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers to design and execute equipment improvement projects.
- Clearly communicate machine status verbally in daily pass-down meetings.
- Provide clear written communication to engineers and technicians on other shifts.
What you'll need
- Two-year associate technical degree in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering or military electronics training equivalent.
- Strong mechanical and electronic skills.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of SPC in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills and MS Office proficiency.
- Ability to work nights or days on a compressed workweek schedule.
Nice to have
- 5+ years of experience.
- Experience with Veeco Ion Mill, Axcelis 8250 Implant, Heatpulse 8800, Temescal Evaporators, Evatec Evaporators, or Scia Ion Trim and Mill equipment.
