Equipment Engineering Technician, Dry Etch

About the role
This role is responsible for performing advanced level repair, calibration, and preventative maintenance for semiconductor equipment in the Dry Etch area. You will interface with Production and Engineers to resolve process-related issues, maintain production equipment availability, and provide technical guidance to shift technicians.
What you'll do
- Perform advanced level repair, calibration, and preventative maintenance for Dry Etch semiconductor equipment to ensure maximum availability.
- Conduct diagnostic troubleshooting and repair on malfunctioning equipment down to component level.
- Collect and analyze equipment-specific performance data and Pareto data with Engineering to eliminate recurring failures and minimize MTTR.
- Lead and direct shift pass-downs, establish priorities based on production requirements, and train lower-level technicians.
- Interface with and direct vendor support to resolve equipment-related issues and participate in yield investigations.
- Support emergency response team (ERT) and safety events as needed during the absence of supervision.
What you'll need
- Associate of Science degree with an emphasis in Electronics or equivalent.
- 5+ years of technical experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Direct working experience with at least one of the following toolsets: TEL Unity, LAM 2300 - 9400 PTX, Fusion, Applied Materials DPS Metal, Applied Materials DPS Poly, Applied Materials EMAX Oxide, Applied Materials MxP+ Oxide, or Applied Materials Super-E platforms.
- Working knowledge of advanced electro-mechanical systems operations, maintenance, electronic theory, vacuum and pneumatics theory, electrical circuits, and motor control systems.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot to component level on production equipment with minimal or no assistance.
