Equipment Engineering Technician, CVD
About the role
The Equipment Engineering Technician, CVD performs preventative maintenance, repair, and improvements to semiconductor equipment maintenance procedures and systems. This position works across electrical, electronics, mechanics, and pneumatics disciplines to support production operations.
What you'll do
- Perform preventative maintenance, repair, and improvement on semiconductor equipment maintenance procedures and systems.
- Interface with Equipment Engineers, area Managers, Procurement, and Operations to identify and resolve equipment issues supporting production.
- Participate in projects aimed at improving reliability, cost savings, and safety across CVD equipment.
- Work a compressed night shift: Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday from 5:30 PM to 6:00 AM.
- Conduct data and statistical analysis to evaluate equipment performance.
What you'll need
- Associate of Science degree with an emphasis in Electronics or equivalent, or Military background.
- 1+ years of technical experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of equipment functionality, subcomponents, control circuits, and process parameters.
- Thorough knowledge of measurement instrumentation, electro-mechanical devices, vacuum systems, robotics, and sensors.
- Ability to conduct data and statistical analysis to evaluate equipment performance.
- Hands-on electro-mechanical troubleshooting capabilities and computer skills.
Nice to have
- Experience on AMAT Centura, Novellus, or TEL equipment.
