About the role
Equipment Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. The role supports ion mill, ion implant, and metal evaporation equipment.
What you'll do
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fab equipment.
- Improve system performance to achieve process requirements and eliminate repetitive tool breakdowns.
- Monitor and analyze tool data to make recommendations and improvements to maintenance procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers to design and execute equipment improvement projects.
- Communicate machine status verbally during daily pass-down meetings and provide written handoffs to other shifts.
What you'll need
- Two-year associate technical degree in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering, or military electronics training equivalent.
- Strong mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills, including the ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of SPC in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to stand or walk up to 12 hours per shift, lift up to 50 lbs, and wear a respirator and personal protective equipment (PPE) for handling hazardous materials.
- Willingness to work nights or days on a compressed workweek schedule.
- Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office.
Nice to have
- 5+ years of relevant equipment maintenance experience.
- Experience with Veeco Ion Mill, Axcelis 8250 Implant, Heatpulse 8800, Temescal Evaporators, Evatec Evaporators, or Scia Ion Trim and Mill equipment.
