Equipment Engineering Section Manager (SM1)
About the role
Texas Instruments is seeking an Equipment Engineering Section Manager to oversee and provide leadership directly to engineers and supervisors within a specific engineering section in Sherman, TX. The role oversees tool installations and all operational performance metrics of a mid-size team during production ramp-up at the SM 300mm factory.
What you'll do
- Oversee tool installations and direct operational performance metrics for an equipment engineering team in a ramping factory environment.
- Provide direct leadership, development, and execution oversight to equipment engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
- Ensure the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel to produce quality products at minimum costs.
- Report operational and engineering progress directly to the Engineering Branch Manager across assigned equipment groups.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related engineering degree.
- 8 years of Semiconductor Equipment Engineering experience.
- 2 years of experience as a Module Manager.
Nice to have
- 300mm experience.
- Experience in a ramping semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Solid track record in planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes, and operations.
- Demonstrated success in use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs.
- Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes.
- Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery.
