About the role
Skyworks is seeking an Equipment Engineer (Thin Films) in Richardson, TX to provide engineering support of equipment used in the manufacturing and development of advanced technology products.
What you'll do
- Provide engineering support for equipment used in the manufacturing and development of advanced technology products.
- Improve equipment availability, reduce cycle time, and decrease costs and yield loss through data-driven hardware and process performance improvements.
- Upgrade and re-engineer equipment to improve overall operational performance.
- Define and improve detailed preventive maintenance procedures and schedules.
- Coordinate machine installations to support factory capacity expansions and assist with complex corrective maintenance tasks.
- Present data analysis and improvement actions to FAB management and equipment technicians while leading continuous improvement teams.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- More than 3 years of relevant experience.
- Technical capability including knowledge of pneumatics, robotics, electronics, and semiconductor processes.
- Demonstrated project management and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge and application of SPC in the manufacturing environment.
Nice to have
- Ion Mill and/or Trim experience on Veeco or Scia equipment.
- E-Beam Evaporation experience on Temescal or Evatec equipment.
- Rapid Thermal Anneal experience.
