About the role
This role is responsible for the technical ownership of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, ensuring reliability, manufacturing readiness, and long-term operational performance.
What you'll do
- Serve as the technical owner for assigned semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Lead troubleshooting of complex electrical, mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic, motion control, automation, and process-related equipment issues.
- Minimize equipment downtime while improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Provide technical support for new equipment installations, relocations, and major upgrades.
- Maintain equipment specifications, engineering documentation, and configuration records.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Equipment Technicians.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
- Seven+ (7) years supporting semiconductor manufacturing equipment or other highly automated manufacturing systems.
- Demonstrated success troubleshooting complex manufacturing equipment.
- Experience improving equipment reliability and manufacturing performance.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, OEM documentation, and P&IDs.
- Understanding of outdated operating systems (DOS).
Nice to have
- Advanced technical education, professional certifications, or formal training related to equipment reliability, automation, controls, or project execution.
- Demonstrated training or experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment and highly automated manufacturing environments.
- Experience supporting new technology implementation and equipment integration.
- Capital equipment project experience.
