Epitaxy Equipment Engineer (SM1)
About the role
As an Epitaxy Equipment Engineer at Texas Instruments, you will evaluate, select, install, and maintain epitaxy manufacturing equipment within a semiconductor fabrication environment.
What you'll do
- Evaluate, select, and order cost-effective equipment for semiconductor manufacturing.
- Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Track equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues.
- Analyze equipment performance and reliability to increase uptime and resolve manufacturing issues.
- Provide technical support to equipment repair and process engineering teams.
- Define and document preventative maintenance schedules and improve tool install efficiencies.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering field.
- 2 years of relevant experience working as an Equipment Engineer in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
Nice to have
- Equipment experience with AMAT Centura Prime Atmospheric Epi and/or ASM Intrepid Atmospheric Epi toolsets.
- Prior experience with other Epi equipment or processes including GaN, RP, and ATM.
- Experience with tool monitoring and interdiction software, equipment maintenance, and documentation.
- Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, SPC techniques, and semiconductor cleanroom protocol and behaviors.
