About the role
This role involves developing and engineering etch products within the semiconductor industry.
What you'll do
- Define equipment hardware to meet advanced processing needs.
- Analyze test data and collaborate on design improvements.
- Ensure seamless integration of breakthrough technologies.
- Conduct process engineering research, development, and evaluation for semiconductor equipment and systems.
- Review and enhance processing techniques and methods for manufacturing and fabrication.
- Collaboratively engineer innovative semiconductor equipment and process design solutions.
- Provide technical support for installation and/or diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, and debugging of complex product issues.
- Work in a cleanroom lab and/or customer semiconductor fab environment.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Software Engineering, Modeling Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, RF Engineering, Plasma Engineering, Plasma Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or any related field.
- Experience with Data Science, Machine Learning, and/or Artificial Intelligence methodologies, tools, and applications.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Previous Internships.
- Familiarity with working in a laboratory and on semiconductor equipment with knowledge in surface preparation and analytical techniques.
- Prior product design and technical engineer experience.
- Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment.
- Experience coordinating and communicating with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Proficient in MATLAB, Python, or other similar scientific computing language.
- Working knowledge of statistical analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience with statistical tools (JMP, Minitab).
- Knowledge of material synthesis and material characterization.
