About the role
This role performs machine testing, maintenance, and qualification on ion implanters and RF plasma systems in an R&D environment.
What you'll do
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks on semiconductor implant equipment, including cleaning, calibration, and replacement of parts. - Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools. - Assist in the setup and qualification of new experimental semiconductor implant equipment alongside engineers and scientists. - Document maintenance activities, repairs, replacements, and adjustments in maintenance logs and databases. - Adhere to strict safety protocols while working with hazardous materials and high-voltage equipment, and participate in the site Emergency Response Team (ERT).
What you'll need
- Associate degree or equivalent technical certification in electronics, electrical, automotive, robotics, or a related field. - 5-10 years of relevant experience. - Knowledge of ion implanters and RF plasma systems. - Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics. - Flexibility to work various shifts and travel domestically and internationally (up to 10% of the time).
