About the role
This role involves managing process qualification, stability, and continuous improvement programs to achieve organizational goals within Fab Operations. You will collaborate with other regions to drive process excellence as per GlobalFoundries standards.
What you'll do
- Support production ramp schedules through process qualification, productivity improvement, and new tool release.
- Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Control Action System (CAS), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Optimize and maintain processes using Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE) knowledge.
- Work with other regions for Best Known Method (BKM) alignment and process improvement initiatives.
- Drive Continuous Improvement Plans (CIP) to enhance process performance indices.
- Conduct process training internally for Associate Engineers.
What you'll need
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Microelectronics), Sciences (Physics, Chemistry), or Material Science.
- Relevant experience in process engineering, preferably within the semiconductor industry.
- Strong knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Experience in a high volume production environment.
- Knowledge of process engineering software systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
Nice to have
- Prior experience in foundry or a similar industry background.
- Analytical and math skills.
