About the role
As an Electrical Engineering Manager, you will lead an electrical engineering team within the Platform team in Global Products Engineering developing systems that power and control semiconductor process equipment. Scope includes electrical architecture, power distribution, controls, PCB and subsystem integration, and high voltage power enclosures.
What you'll do
- Manage an electrical engineering team that designs, develops, and releases semiconductor process equipment.
- Direct research, design, modification, and evaluation of product control signals and power distribution systems, with a focus on high voltage power enclosures.
- Oversee the design and evaluation of subsystems consisting of electrical, electro-mechanical, and electronic systems.
- Determine design approaches, analyze equipment operating data, execute experimental tests, and evaluate results.
- Manage engineering resource assignments, priorities, schedules, and interfaces with offshore resources, contract manufacturers, and cross-functional teams.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in semiconductor capital equipment.
- 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
- Hands-on experience in the design, control, and productization of complex machinery and AC and DC power distribution.
- Hands-on experience designing and realizing analog and digital electronic circuits, from schematic capture through final released PCBA.
- Experience with electrical circuit design CAD software (OrCAD or similar), SPICE modeling, and system modeling tools such as SIMULink.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of industry standards: SEMI, SEMI S2/S22, CE, NFPA79, NEC, UL, IEC, and IEEE.
