About the role
As an Electrical Engineer III, you will lead the electrical design of semiconductor automation equipment at the machine and submodule levels from concept through production.
What you'll do
- Serve as the technical owner of electrical design for machine-level systems and submodules, translating machine architecture into detailed panel and wiring requirements. - Perform panel layout and wire routing with noise segregation (AC/DC, power/signal), power distribution design (UL 508A, circuit breakers, GFCI, wire sizing), and E-chain cable design. - Review technical execution and provide technical leadership for wire engineers, including schematics, cable drawings, I/O maps, and timing diagrams. - Direct system-level integration and troubleshooting covering motor drives, encoders, sensors, I/O, safety interlocks, and safety controllers. - Guide the implementation of NFPA 79 and SEMI S2 design rules, including zoned safety controller operations and wiring practices. - Support panel and module builds, resolve machine-level electrical issues, and assist field installations and technical escalations.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. - Minimum 5 years of experience designing complex industrial electrical systems. - Experience with electrical CAD tools (Altium, DraftSight 2D, AutoCAD Electrical, or EPLAN). - Working knowledge of industrial safety standards and design rules, including UL 508A, NFPA 79, and SEMI S2. - Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without employer-sponsored visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Nice to have
- 8 or more years of experience designing complex industrial electrical systems. - Experience with Altium. - Experience with custom integrated flat-cable assemblies with built-in support (such as BizLink or igus). - Experience producing certification documentation for SEMI S2 and NFPA 79 assessments and working directly with certification agencies.
