About the role
This role involves supporting the engineering team with electrical design, prototyping, and manufacturing activities in San Luis Obispo, CA.
What you'll do
- Utilize SolidWorks Electrical and DraftSight for electrical drawing updates.
- Support prototype, NPI, and production build activities.
- Assist Manufacturing Operations with troubleshooting, design clarifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with electrical design reviews and validation activities.
- Support product line standardization of control panels, schematics, and electrical designs.
- Participate in projects focused on design efficiency, quality, and process improvement.
What you'll need
- Pursuing BS or MS in electrical engineering, Mechatronic engineering, or related engineering field.
- Experience with 2D and/or 3D CAD software.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Must be a currently enrolled student.
- Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June.
- Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program.
