About the role
This role is responsible for probe card production design, ensuring customer requirements are translated into logical and physical designs.
What you'll do
- Design probe cards based on customer requirements and product specifications.
- Utilize custom design tools to create efficient and quality designs.
- Translate customer requirements into logical designs (netlists) for production probe card environments.
- Guide physical designers for space transformers and PCBs using logical/electrical design rules.
- Interface with customers and vendors to provide analysis and feedback.
- Manage multiple concurrent design projects, including scheduling and quality.
- Train new employees on design processes and documentation.
What you'll need
- BSEE or equivalent with 3-10 years of experience in electrical design.
- Understanding of electrical design concepts, including impedance, PDN, signal integrity, and digital/analog circuit design.
- Understanding of physical routing concepts, including diff pairs and split planes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension).
Nice to have
- MSEE.
- Knowledge of Multi-Layer PCB, Ceramic, and/or Organic substrate design and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with PADS, Allegro, EPD, AutoCAD.
- Knowledge or experience in semiconductor test, wafer probing, and/or Semiconductor manufacturing.
- Programming skill.
