About the role
As an Ecosystem Integration Engineer in Taiwan, you will serve as the primary technical interface between the AI Integrated Systems engineering team and external ODM, OEM, contract manufacturer, and component partners. In this role, you will support the deployment and manufacturing integration of Metis and Europa-based platforms across partner systems.
What you'll do
- Act as the technical point of contact for ODM partners integrating PCIe accelerator cards, M.2 modules, and AI SBCs, advising on power budgets, cooling, mechanical clearances, and BIOS/firmware settings. - Support partner bring-up through OS and driver installation, Voyager SDK deployment, and first-inference validation. - Provide on-site and remote engineering support to contract manufacturers during NPI and Mass Production Introduction (MPI), reviewing production test procedures against ATE/ICT requirements. - Drive in-field production defect triage, replicate issues on bench equipment, and manage corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) through root-cause analysis. - Interface with power component suppliers to evaluate BOM alternatives, resolve qualification issues, and perform bench characterization of DCDC converters and PMUs. - Support design verification for new PCB revisions, prototype builds (EVT/DVT), and component qualification through functional testing and regression against baseline hardware.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in electronic hardware engineering, focused on embedded or system-level PCB design. - Solid understanding of digital interfaces at both schematic and signal-integrity levels, including PCIe, USB, I2C/SPI/UART, and LPDDR. - Proven experience integrating add-in cards or modules (PCIe, M.2, MXM, or similar) into OEM/ODM host platforms and supporting products through an MPI or EVT/DVT/PVT cycle. - Proficiency with lab test equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analysers, power analysers, and JTAG debuggers. - Familiarity with thermal and mechanical constraints (heatsink mounting, TIM selection, chassis airflow), EMC/ESD considerations, and CM/EMS workflows (BOM reviews, FAI, IQC, production test). - Hands-on experience configuring Linux (Ubuntu/Debian) from scratch, including kernel module loading, device tree basics, and running SDK inference pipelines.
Nice to have
- Basic working knowledge of Python and Linux Bash for scripting, data manipulation, and test automation. - Supplier management experience involving power component qualification and DCDC/PMU issue diagnosis. - Mandarin Chinese language skills to facilitate direct ODM/CM communication within the Taiwan supply chain. - Familiarity with embedded RTOS or BSP environments, or experience using Altium Designer for schematic review and PCB layout annotation.

How we counted: 103 open Hardware Systems Engineering (SOC Architecture) roles from 27 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 27 Oct 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Software, Firmware & Systems family row.
