About the role
Syntiant is seeking a lead Digital Design Engineer to design digital systems and building blocks for MEMS microphones. The role involves developing low-power ASICs from concept to high-volume production alongside analog/mixed-signal and test development engineers.
What you'll do
- Develop the digital architecture, including audio signal paths (DSP) and analog-digital interfaces. - Build complex functional and behavioral models of systems using Matlab/Simulink and Verilog-AMS. - Perform RTL design, synthesis, timing closure, scan pattern generation, power optimization, and supervise the RTL-to-GDS flow. - Define digital verification plans and verify digital systems and blocks in collaboration with verification engineers. - Develop low-power audio signal processing architectures.
What you'll need
- Advanced degree in electronic engineering or a related field. - 8+ years of experience developing digital blocks and systems for mixed-signal integrated circuits in consumer or industrial R&D. - Working knowledge of the digital design flow and DFT. - Direct experience implementing Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms and low-power digital circuits. - Understanding of analog/mixed-signal concepts including sampling, quantization, FFT, SNR, and THD. - Experience with sigma delta ADCs or audio signal processing, alongside solid working knowledge of Matlab/Simulink.
