Diffusion/Thermal Equipment Engineer (SM1)
About the role
As an Equipment Engineer at Texas Instruments, you will study equipment reliability, sustain and enhance tool performance, and oversee the installation, maintenance, and optimization of manufacturing equipment.
What you'll do
- Study equipment performance reliability, drive cost of ownership to optimized performance, and maintain manufacturing equipment.
- Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Work with equipment vendors to sustain and enhance equipment performance from a tool standpoint, keeping current on technical notices and safety issues.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations.
- Establish action plans, programs, and solutions for increasing uptime and addressing equipment issues affecting the manufacturing process.
- Define and write preventative maintenance schedules and execute continuous improvement projects impacting fab performance metrics.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related engineering degree.
- 2 years of relevant experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing environment as an Equipment Engineer.
Nice to have
- Equipment experience with TEL INDY and ASM Sonora vertical furnaces.
- Equipment experience on thermal processing support equipment such as related metrology tools and vacuum pumps.
- Experience on tool monitoring and interdiction software, equipment maintenance, and documentation.
- Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and SPC techniques.
- Experience with semiconductor cleanroom protocol and behaviors.
