About the role
Skyworks is seeking a Device and Process Development Intern in its High Performance Analog business group. The role focuses on hands-on semiconductor fabrication equipment operation, process troubleshooting, and recipe optimization in Richardson, Texas.
What you'll do
- Operate semiconductor fabrication equipment to develop wafer-level processes.
- Troubleshoot processes and optimize recipes, with an emphasis on the photolithography area.
- Design experiments and execute fab engineering trials.
- Execute projects in areas involving photolithography, electroplating, plasma etch, and dry/wet etch.
- Perform data analysis using software such as JMP, Spotfire, or Excel.
What you'll need
- Current enrollment in an MS or PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related fields.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Interest in hands-on work in a clean room facility.
- Semiconductor coursework and/or experience covering standard processing techniques (PVD, CVD, lithography, dry/wet etch, CMP).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Nice to have
- Pursuing a PhD degree.
- Exposure to GaN or GaAs processing and devices.
