About the role
This Device and Process Development Intern will gain real-world experience in semiconductor device and wafer-level process development within the High Performance Analog business group.
What you'll do
- Operate semiconductor fabrication equipment for wafer-level processes.
- Perform device characterization using RF/microwave test equipment and metrology tools.
- Troubleshoot processes and optimize recipes.
- Design and execute fab engineering trials.
- Conduct projects in areas such as Evaporation, CVD, PVD, thin film depositing, Electroplating, plasma etch, Dry/Wet Etch, Photolithography, Wafer Dicing, or CMP.
- Analyze data using software like JMP, Spotfire, or Excel.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Knowledge of semiconductor devices and their DC and RF characterization.
- Semiconductor coursework and/or experience, including standard processing techniques (PVD, CVD, lithography, dry/wet etch, CMP).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Nice to have
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields.
- Exposure to GaN or GaAs processing and devices.
