About the role
This role involves managing a team of equipment technicians to ensure tool availability for production schedules. The supervisor is responsible for maintenance activities across Photolithography, HDP Etchers, Sputter PVD, Electroplating, Implant, CVD, Wet Etch, Ash, Backend Finish Processes, Metrology, Laser Dicing, Backside Grind, Proprietary Lift-Off Equipment, and metal Evaporators.
What you'll do
- Manage performance, career development, and year-end reviews for technical staff.
- Plan and implement improvement initiatives to increase tool availability and decrease downtime variability.
- Manage maintenance costs, including controlling overtime and spare parts usage.
- Manage Preventative Maintenance schedules and coordinate with Equipment Engineering.
- Develop and manage a technical training plan for technician certifications.
- Interview, hire, and onboard new technicians and PM Specialists.
- Work closely with equipment engineers to resolve problems and ensure technical mentorship.
What you'll need
- 5 years of relevant work experience managing or leading a team of technicians in a Fab environment.
- Experience with LEAN manufacturing efforts, 5S controls, Continuous Improvement, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Experience leading, organizing, and facilitating cross-functional project teams.
- Experience developing and managing equipment performance metrics including M-Ratio, MTTF, GTG times, and Availability.
- Experience identifying trends in tool performance and driving improvement.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience using MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Nice to have
- Equipment Engineering experience.
- Previous hands-on experience as a maintenance or equipment service technician.
- Experience in Semiconductor maintenance.
