About the role
As a Customer Support Engineer, you will serve as the technical expert on-site, troubleshooting and supporting complex semiconductor capital equipment to optimize performance and minimize downtime in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.
What you'll do
- Troubleshoot and repair semiconductor equipment at customer sites, performing both system-level and board/component-level diagnostics. - Perform root cause analysis on electro-mechanical, vacuum, chemical, and process-related issues. - Support installations, upgrades, and modifications of equipment in coordination with installation teams. - Evaluate equipment behavior to identify issues related to process conditions such as contamination, leaks, or environmental factors. - Make on-site operational decisions, including recommending tool shutdowns for safety or yield protection when required. - Document service activities, recurring issues, and corrective actions, while managing spare parts inventory and service reports.
What you'll need
- Master's degree with 3+ years of related work experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related work experience (or equivalent hands-on experience). - 5+ years of experience supporting semiconductor capital equipment or similarly complex manufacturing equipment. - Hands-on troubleshooting experience with electro-mechanical systems. - Demonstrated background in system-level diagnostics beyond component swaps. - Ability to spend significant time working on factory floors or cleanroom environments with 50%+ travel or on-site presence.
