About the role
Responsible for customer service activities associated with updating, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing complex capital equipment at customer sites and trade shows. Works under the supervision of a Manager or Senior Customer Support Engineer to assure operational quality and minimize customer downtime.
What you'll do
- Evaluate, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot technical equipment problems via telephone or directly at customer sites. - Repair and update equipment at customer facilities, resolving system-level issues that lack standard procedures. - Assess customer process issues such as chemical leaks or contamination, recommending fab shutdowns when unsafe conditions arise. - Prepare field service reports on customer support activity and provide documentation on recurring problems. - Assist in preparing customer quotes based on labor, travel expenses incurred, and required parts. - Provide technical guidance to Installation Engineers on tool installations, demonstrations, and system dismantling.
