About the role
As a Customer Support Engineer on the KLA Services team, you will evaluate, troubleshoot, and maintain semiconductor equipment for customer installations and field operations.
What you'll do
- Evaluate, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot technical equipment problems under direction and supervision.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on assigned products independently.
- Carry out corrective maintenance (CM) following provided plans of action (POA).
- Prepare field service reports on customer support activity and provide documentation to supporting functions.
- Assist field service and support install engineers with system installations.
- Prepare customer quotes based on labor, travel expenses, and required parts, and return parts to the distribution center on schedule.
What you'll need
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the semiconductor or a related field, or equivalent military service experience, or an equivalent college degree.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical equipment issues under supervision.
- Capability to communicate work plans and status updates clearly with customers.
Nice to have
- Associate of Science in Electronics Technology (ASET).
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related area.
