About the role
The Applications Development Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing product applications for existing and pre-release products to provide maximum value to customers.
What you'll do
- Respond to customer requests and perform complex problem diagnosis and resolution.
- Work closely with customers to understand process challenges and provide optimized metrology solutions.
- Support the development of FaST systems at the customer site.
- Interface with software and systems engineering to verify that hardware and software problems have been resolved.
- Conduct customer product demonstrations and technical training, including on-site training of customers and end users.
- Develop and document new applications of existing and pre-release products, including Best Known Methods (BKMs).
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related work experience, or a Master's degree with 0 years of related work experience.
- Degree in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or a related field.
- Ability to perform complex problem diagnosis and independently resolve hardware and software issues.
- Willingness and ability to travel annually to customer sites and headquarters for training.
Nice to have
- Work experience in semiconductor processing or the semiconductor equipment industry.
- Knowledge of FinFET process flows, litho/etch module issues, and critical metrology monitoring points.
- Experience with JMP or Python.
- Strong project management skills.
