About the role
As a Winter/Spring Co-op Intern, you will support the modeling, simulation, and development of advanced compound semiconductor epitaxial structures using TCAD tools, with a focus on GaAs and GaN technologies.
What you'll do
- Design and evaluate new epitaxial structures through ML/AI Driven Epi Development
- Define machine learning models for epitaxial development
- Setup/automate TCAD simulations for model training
- Investigate optimization routines for ML training
- Validate optimized epitaxial structures through device test
What you'll need
- Currently enrolled in a PhD graduate program, studying Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science
- Knowledge in Device Simulation Platforms [Sentaurus, Silvaco]
- Knowledge in ML/AI models
Nice to have
- Strong Computer Programming skills [Python]
- Understanding of Compound Semiconductor (GaAs and/or GaN based devices) stack-ups and their influence on device performance
- Basic understanding of device fabrication process steps, yield analysis and DC/RF device parameters
