About the role
This role involves developing and scaling innovative system-level designs for the Aerospace & Defense (A&D) industry. You will interact directly with A&D customers, product development teams, and sales to advance systems in applications like Space, RADAR, Ruggedized Communications, and Drones.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with customers and Field Application Engineers (FAEs) to identify top opportunities.
- Co-develop competitive solutions with customer engineers and FAEs.
- Execute actions driven by customer opportunities and drive design wins for new and existing products.
- Analyze key applications to identify future trends and transform design requirements into system architecture.
- Execute circuit design processes, including device selection, circuit analysis, simulation, and optimization.
- Develop prototypes, performing schematic capture, layout, PCB build, and assembly, then develop and execute a test and verification plan.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, ECE, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Technical understanding of circuit design, control, noise sources, and component selection.
- Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation.
- Familiarity with lab equipment and debugging.
- Understanding of analog/embedded processing IC's and their application.
Nice to have
- Master's degree or higher.
- Experience in system level board design, schematics, layout, testing, and validation.
- Proficient with analog electronics design, analysis, and simulation tools, including Altium, PSpice, and PLECS/SIMPLIS.
- Ability to generate system level proposals (e.g., block diagrams).
- Experience with embedded software programming, including microcontrollers (e.g., C2000) and digital controllers.
- Ability to do worst case analysis and error analysis.
- Awareness of procedures and processes used during high volume production of electronics systems.
