Work on the technology development of piezoelectric Bulk and Surface acoustic resonators (BAW/SAW).
About the role
This Summer/Fall Co-Op position focuses on the technology development of piezoelectric Bulk and Surface acoustic resonators (BAW/SAW).
What you'll do
- Design, program, and execute RF measurements for semiconductors/acoustic devices.
- Perform analysis, extractions, and modeling of measured data.
- Summarize extracted analysis and present reports to engineers and designers.
- Propose new ways to design BAW devices based on physics-based models and data-driven models.
What you'll need
- Current student pursuing a PhD in a relevant engineering field.
- Ability to work full-time for the full duration of the program.
- Ability to work from the design center in Irvine, CA.
Nice to have
- Experience with scientific programming using MATLAB and/or Python.
- Ability to process, cleanse, and validate data integrity for analysis and experiments.
- Familiarity with statistics, machine learning techniques, algorithms, and optimization.
- Knowledge of RF concepts and circuit simulators (ADS).
- Knowledge of FEM tools, such as COMSOL.
- Knowledge in BAW resonators or RF-MEMS resonators.
