About the role
This role involves quantifying the cleanliness level of KLA equipment components by operating and maintaining GCMS instruments within the GCMS laboratory.
What you'll do
- Operate, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair GCMS instruments.
- Prepare samples, calibrate instruments, execute analytical testing, and interpret data.
- Separate, identify, and quantify impurities and target compounds.
- Set up and conduct materials outgassing and experimental work.
- Manage laboratory inventories, including reagents, gas cylinders, and consumables.
- Clean, package, and ship sampling kits to customers for sample collection.
What you'll need
- 4 years of relevant experience, or 2 years of experience with an Associate's degree.
- Hands-on operation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of GCMS instruments.
- Ability to prepare samples, execute analytical testing, interpret data, and deliver accurate, timely results.
- Experience with materials outgassing and experimental work.
- Ability to manage laboratory inventories.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related technical field.
- Hands-on laboratory and technical experience with analytical instruments, laboratory equipment, experimental setups, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, and data analysis.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for working with hardware and test systems.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Ability to apply mathematics, handbook formulas, and precision testing and measuring techniques to solve practical engineering and laboratory problems.
