About the role
This Associate Test Engineer will be involved with the testing of new technologies such as optics/opto-mechanical, assembly, electrical/PCB, alignment, and system integration in manufacturing.
What you'll do
- Perform set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies at system level.
- Perform set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of wafer or Reticle handlers.
- Determine and may develop methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.
- Test and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems, and complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.
- Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
- Provide work assignment direction and technical training to peers.
What you'll need
- Hands-on experience in systems electro-mechanical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Ability to work in a clean room environment.
- Experience with systems development and testing, including formulating system level requirements, test specifications, and test results.
- Ability to use and manipulate fine adjustment hand tools, torque wrenches, and calipers.
- Technical Certificate, AS degree, military technical training experience, or equivalent vocational training in a technical discipline with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
- Ability to use a variety of testing and measuring instruments.
Nice to have
- BSME, BSEET or similar degree in an engineering discipline.
