About the role
As an Associate RF Hardware Systems Engineer at Eridan, you will join the systems engineering team to characterize RF performance, bring up boards, and debug RF subsystems. The role focuses on hands-on lab validation and design support for 5G radio products.
What you'll do
- Bring up new boards, execute RF characterization and validation, and debug issues at the board and subsystem level in the lab.
- Support schematic capture and PCB layout development for RF subsystems, including transceiver chains, impedance-controlled layout, and power distribution.
- Define test plans, execute RF measurements, and report results against system requirements for 5G radio products.
- Partner with hardware, firmware, software, and test teams to resolve integration issues and turn decisions into specifications.
- Support design reviews and hardware qualification to prepare products for volume manufacturing.
- Write scripts to automate lab testing and data analysis.
What you'll need
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of hands-on industry experience in RF hardware or RF systems engineering.
- Working knowledge of RF signal chains (LNAs, PAs, mixers, filters, PLLs) and RF metrics including gain, noise figure, linearity, and EVM.
- Experience with schematic capture and RF PCB layout practices, including impedance control and grounding.
- Hands-on experience operating RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, VNAs, and signal generators for board bring-up and debug.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship or visa transfers.
Nice to have
- Exposure to 5G or LTE radio hardware (O-RAN, small cell, or macro radio), cellular TDD/FDD systems, or 3GPP specifications.
- Experience with RF simulation tools such as Keysight ADS or Cadence AWR.
- Scripting experience in Python, MATLAB, or C# for test automation and data analysis.
- Understanding of communications theory.
- Experience at a startup or growth-stage hardware company.

How we counted: 266 open RF/Wireless Engineering (RF Frontend) roles from 36 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 6 Nov 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Analog & Mixed-Signal family row.
